We are aware that some local schools require a church application for certain places. These have very strict criteria that are not set by us as a church, that we have to comply with. Criteria vary but the most common is for parent and/or child to regularly attend the church. We take this to mean 12 times annually. Some stipulate a period of 2 years before application. If this is something you are wanting for your child, we recommend thinking about it as early as possible as we hate to find families disappointed but, of course, can't lie on forms. We realise that attending church can clash with other activities - in Exminster we are pleased that we have our 10am services with kids activities and fortnightly at 6pm more informal discussion based space in Immanuel Chapel, that would qualify for attending so if one time of day does not suit we hope another might.
